Colostrum provides a range of nutrients including a number of vital immune factors, the main ones being immunoglobulins, or antibodies as they’re sometimes called. All mammals produce immunoglobulins which is why as humans we can safely enjoy the benefits of immunoglobulins found in bovine (cow) colostrum.
The major immunoglobulins (Ig) found in colostrum or milk are IgG, IgA and IgM; of these IgG is the most abundant one in bovine colostrum. IgG protects your body from infection by binding to pathogens (virus, bacteria etc) and alerting other immune cells to come and destroy the pathogen.
Together these immunoglobulins form an essential part of a healthy, responsive immune system.
New ImageTM specially process colostrum using flash pasteurisation which kills unwanted bacteria at high pressure but low temperatures to preserve these all important immunoglobulins and other bioactive components.
